This Saturday night is your chance to do some good with your best Simon Cowell impression, all to benefit a local Music Department! The 2nd Annual "Central Maine Sings" competition will take place January 19th at 7PM at Hampden Academy. Put on by the organization Queen City Arts, this vocal competition is not just for students but for members of the community, as well. It's a chance for local vocalists to showcase their talent and compete for "cash prizes, as well as studio recording time, professional headshots, and more!" according to their FB Page (click here for more info).

The admission price, which goes to help benefit the Hampden Academy Music Department, is $12 for adults and $8 for students, and are available through the school or at the door the night of the performance. And the really fun part of it all, aside from getting to see the singers battle it out, is the fact that the AUDIENCE will be judging who will walk away the winner!

Best of luck to all involved!
