Hampden Academy Band Concert to Benefit Ukraine Thursday

Here is an upcoming event that will be hosted at Hampden Academy.

This Thursday (April 7) there will be ‘A Band Concert for Ukraine’ presented by The Hampden Academy Wind Ensemble and Nokomis High School Wind and Percussion Ensemble.

Donations will be collected at the door at Hampden Academy.

The concert begins at 7 p.m. And it’ll be a full evening of these great combined ensembles.

All donations will be sent to support the victims of Ukraine.

Sasha Zaburdaeva has family in Ukraine and will be sending the funds to Ukraine. Sasha is the director of the Bangor Symphony Youth Orchestra.

Patrick Michaud, Hampden Academy Band Instructor, says:

We do not have a suggested donation. Whatever people are compelled to give for this worthy cause

The event may be for Ukraine, but here’s to hearing the Stars and Stripes at the concert. Hint. Hint.
