Outdoor Movie Night Alert! Free Family Event Wednesday at Doyle Field, Brewer.

There is nothing like catching a movie underneath the stars, and this Wednesday, you will get another chance.

The Brewer Parks and Recreation Department, is hosting their fist ever movie night at Doyle Field, Wednesday, July 23rd.

"The Wild Robot" will be shown on a brand new big screen!

The evening kicks off at 6:30 PM with a special performance by the Brewer Hometown Band, inside the Community Center. The movie Starts at 7:45 pm sharp.

Here is what you need to know:

  • Food trucks will be on-site with tasty options for dinner and snacks.
  • FREE popcorn provided by the presenting sponsor, Downeast Credit Union!
  • Bring a blanket or lawn chair, gather the whole family, and enjoy a fun, relaxing summer night under the stars.

The film is about Roz, a robot, who wakes up alone on a remote island after a shipwreck. She learns to survive in the wild by observing animals and adapting to nature.

Over time, she befriends the island creatures and raises an orphaned gosling named Brightbill.

Together, they face challenges that test Roz’s strength and kindness. The story explores themes of survival, family, and what it means to be alive.

"The Wild Robot" opened in the United States, on September 27th, 2024. It was a huge hit, grossing $143 million dollars at the American Box Office

The weather looks great for Wednesday night, with partly cloudy skies, and low around 60 degrees, so grab the family and enjoy the show!
