Hey high school students! Ever had a great idea for a Maine-themed App?

The Maine App Challenge provides an opportunity for high school students 13 years of age and older, who are Maine residents, to create and present a mobile app of their own design for a chance to win one of three scholarships totaling $10,000. Students may use whichever program they prefer to develop their apps.

Tyler Technologies, a local technology company, has software that is used by more than 150 school districts in Maine.

Participation is free and students retain ownership of the application, as well as all data rights and intellectual property included in submissions.

We found some videos that students have submitted, including ideas for a Maine hike finder, an MCI High School Sports App, and one for the Maine Drama Festival.

For more information, go to http://www.tylertech.com/maine-app-challenge-2018, but you must hurry, because the deadline is THIS Sunday night at 11:59pm!
