Downtown Bangor Apartment Building Target of Incendiary Device

Police and fire officials in Bangor are investigating a Wednesday night incident in which someone threw an incendiary device at an apartment building on French Street.

Police and fire officials responded to 208 French Street in Bangor at about 8:45 p.m. after a tenant there reported an object had been thrown at her apartment, causing a fire.

The fire caused only minor damage to the downtown apartment building, police said.

Police determined that an incendiary device was thrown at the building.

The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to call Bangor Police.
