Do You Qualify for a Bangor Area Habitat for Humanity Home?

Habitat for Humanity of Greater Bangor is looking for their next home owners.

They are putting on an event at the Orono/Old Town YMCA this Wednesday, January 9th from 5:30 PM - 7 PM.  This is a drop-in event where you can see if you qualify a Habitat for Humanity home.

Do you qualify?

Here's some of the criteria:

1.  You have lived in the Greater Bangor area for at least 12 months.

2. You have examples of your need for better housing citing overcrowding, unsafe or unaffordable reasons.

3. You can afford a mortgage with proof of steady income.

4. You can help build your new home and complete a first-time homebuyers education course.

Homes have been built in the Bangor area including Bangor, Bradley and Old Town.

Childcare is available at the event at no cost for attendees.
