The Penobscot County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help locating a hit-and-run driver who left a young pedestrian injured in Hermon.

Officials say it happened just after 7:00 Friday night, during that torrential rainstorm. The Sheriff's Office received a report of a hit-and-run pedestrian crash on Route 2 in Hermon, on Miller Hill. A light-colored sedan that was traveling toward Bangor struck one of three boys who were walking along the road. The vehicle did not stop.

One of the boys received serious, but non-life-threatening injuries. His name has not been released.

Now, the Sheriff's Office is asking for anyone with information about the crash to contact them at 945-4636.
