Life Without Heartburn? Northern Light To Hold Zoom Session To Explain Options For Help
If you're one of the almost 30% of Americans living with chronic heartburn or daily acid reflux problems, it's probably been a while since you've been able to sleep through a night without popping Tums, or fully enjoy a sauce-heavy plate of pasta.
There can be a number of reasons for that chest-burning sensation including GERD or a hiatal hernia. But did you know there might be an option that could free you from sleeping propped up at night and having to remember to take an antacid 30 minutes before you eat?!
Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center is hosting a special Zoom meeting next week to give folks more information on what options they may have to help their heartburn situations.
According to a Northern Light representative:
"To learn more about how minimally-invasive robotic assisted surgery may help treat heartburn, register today to attend an information session on Thursday, November 18, from 6 to 7 pm. During the free Zoom information session, Daniel Hetherman, MD, surgeon, Northern Light Surgical Specialists, will explain how patients referred by their primary care provider to the Heartburn Program at Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center may be able to live a life without heartburn or taking daily prescriptions for heartburn symptoms. Individuals who register can log on to the info session to learn more and get answers to their questions directly from Dr. Hetherman."
