Damaging Winds Likely For Much Of Maine Monday

The week starts with lots of rain and strong winds across much of Maine.

The National Weather Service is warning of strong winds Monday. Coastal areas could see winds gusting to near 50 mph this afternoon into this evening. Wind gusts as high as 60 mph are possible at times.

In addition, a soaking rain will leave many areas of the state with more an inch of rain.

Forecasters say the rain will end late this evening, with winds diminishing.
