James Corden is back with another installment of ‘Crosswalk: The Musical’ on The Late Late Show, just in time for tomorrow's release of Frozen II. Earlier this year, Corden literally stopped traffic with his rendition of Les Misérables in the streets of Paris. "People keep coming up to me saying, ‘James, when are you going to take this further? When will we see the company doing Madama Butterfly, La Traviata, Così Fan Tutte?’ I look them in the eye and say screw that, we're doing Frozen!"

While a gas station on the corner of Beverly Blvd might not be the slopes of Arendelle, the committed performances of Frozen II cast members Kristen Bell, Idina Menzel, Josh Gad, and Jonathan Groff certainly make for a memorable performance. And Los Angeles drivers won't slow down for anything — not even a mini-scale musical production of Frozen — meaning the entire cast and crew has to sprint out of the way of moving cars.

No musical is complete without a little drama, and Crosswalk Frozen’ is no exception. Corden and Menzel go head to head for the role of Elsa, the latter eventually winning the part in a sing-off between the two. Corden insists that he’s “let it go,” and then returns dressed as a giant snowflake. When no one can recognize what character he is, he shouts, “It’s the titular character! The movie’s called Frozen. I am frozen, therefore I’m more important than you, okay? So get over it!” Corden is then promptly pelted by a fake snowball.

The performance goes off without a hitch (except for one close call involving snowflake-Corden in a zamboni). The cast celebrates “backstage,” AKA a tent set up on the street corner. Josh Gad sums it up in true punny Olaf fashion: “We didn’t just build a snowman. We built a show, man!”
