Maine to Cracker Barrel: Forget the Logo—Just Give Us a Location
It seems like all anyone has been talking about on social media the last several days, is Cracker Barrel's controversial decision to change their marketing strategy.
While the entire country debated the rebranded logo, Mainers watched from the sidelines with one recurring thought: Why is there still no Cracker Barrel here in the first place?
After a huge backlash, the restaurant chain quickly decided to go back to the original image of the iconic old-timer and barrel, yet the Pine Tree State still is without a location, not even near the Maine Turnpike, where thousands of hungry travelers would definitely love to get off an exit for a plate of chicken-fried steak and a side of biscuits.
Now to clarify, there was a location in South Portland for over 15 years, but it closed for good, in January of this year.
For the most part, Cracker Barrel like to focus on the South, Midwest, and along major interstates, if we Mainers really crave it, Nashua, New Hampshire, is the nearest place to chow down.
Cracker Barrel Old Country Store is a Southern-style restaurant and gift shop chain known for its comfort food, rocking chairs, vintage Americana décor, and general-store-themed shopping areas.
They serve breakfast all day long, with mouth watering pancakes & french toast as two highlights. Other delicious comfort food items include fried chicken, and meatloaf, just to name a few.
Would you like to see what all the fuss is about? There is one sure-fire way to make sure your voice is heard by Cracker Barrel.
