Authorities are still trying to determine what caused the crash that killed a young Corinth man Sunday evening.

According to the Penobscot Sheriff's Office, dispatchers got a call just before 7:30 PM Sunday that a vehicle had crashed on Hudson Road (which is also Route 43) in Corinth.

"​Responders from the Corinth Fire Department, Hudson Fire Department, Mayo Ambulance and the Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office discovered that a 2005 GMC Sierra pick-up truck was traveling westbound and had left the roadway and flipped over before coming to rest in the woods. The lone occupant of the pick-up truck, Cody Crooker, 31 years old of Corinth, was found to be deceased as the result of the crash.​Crash Reconstructionist, Forensic Mappers and investigators from the Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene. "

Members of the Sherrif's Office continue to look into what might have led the truck to leave the roadways. They have not yet released the cause of the accident.
