Community Blood Drive In Bangor September 29th

Give the gift of life, give blood!

Every two minutes someone in the United States needs blood, and with the troubled times we are living in, the need is greater than ever. This is where you can help someone, by doing something, quick, safe and easy!

The Purple Iris Foundation, Angel Adocates, and The American Red Cross will hold a cummunity blood drive at the Sea Dog Brewing Company, located at 26 Front Street, on the Bangor Waterfront, on Tuesday, September 29th, from 8am to 1pm. The event is also sponsored by Bangor Family Dentistry, and Higher Ground Services LLC.

The mission of The Purple Iris Foundation is to raise awareness, provide support, and give hope to individuals and families affected by cancer, in Maine. Chris Parrish founded The Purple Iris Foundation as a result of what was then her 18 month journey through pancreatic cancer. She was given the life changing news on June 16, 2008, and was told that she had only 3-6 months to live with treatment.This is how the Purple Iris Foundation was born to help raise awareness and support her fellow patients.
