Come Help ‘Fill The Bus’ In Bangor & Lincoln August 4th

Come donate and fill up a bus with school supplies for our community!

It may be still summer time here in Maine, but back to school time will be here before you know it, so come help and do your part to make sure kids are ready to go!

The United Way of Eastern Maine is partnering up with the good folks at Penquis, to gather up a ton of school supplies for children right here in our community, for the upcoming 2023/2024 school year.

Comign up on Friday, August 3rd, from 10am-4pm, you can visit the Bangor Walmart, and the Lincoln Walmart locations, and help fill a school bus full of all the many necessities that kids need for classes on daily basis.

Any and all items are welcome, but here is a list of some of the particulars that they are looking to collect on August 4th:

• Pens
• Pencils
• Notebooks
• Folders
• Binders
• Pencil Boxes
• Pencil Cases
• Erasers
• Backpacks
• Highlighters
• Markers

A big shout out to Penquis, Walmart, Cyr Bus Lines, and the United Way of Eastern Maine for putting on this event!

You can also find Heart of Maine United Way, out collecting school supplies at the Palmyra and Skowhegan Walmart locations, that will benefit students from Somerset County. The Date and Times for that event will be announced soon!

The Bangor Walmart is located at 900 Stillwater Ave, and the Lincoln Walmart, at 250 West Broadway.
