Police Say Presque Isle Victim Was 14-Month-Old Baby
Police are investigating a murder-suicide in Presque Isle that left a father and his 14-month-old child dead.
Public Safety spokesman Steve McCausland says the victim in a murder-suicide at 728 Reach Road was 14-month-old Quinten Leavitt. Police say Quinten was shot by his father, 35-year-old Matthew Leavitt on Sunday, who then shot and killed himself.
The State Medical Examiner's Office conducted autopsies on Monday and determined that both father and son died from a single gunshot wound. State Police finished their evidence gathering today at Leavitt's home on Reach Road.
