I'll make the popcorn!

Our friends at WABI-TV 5 are bringing some much needed comfort food in the form of classic movies. We could all use an escape right now, and a flick you know and love is like that old comfy blanket that keeps you really warm.
CBS has brought back the “CBS Sunday Night Movie” for the next several weeks. It seems kind of strange to think about now, but there was a time when the entire family gathered in the living room to watch television together, so they idea here is to re-create that feeling with some iconic movies that everyone can enjoy.

This Sunday night at 8, it’s the movie that launched a thousand catch phrases. You know at some point in your life you have screamed out either “ Life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you’re gonna get” or “Run, Forrest Run” Tom Hanks was already a hug star, but “Forrest Gump” made him a national treasure, and he won an Oscar for Best Actor.

Sunday, May 17th, check out ”Mission Impossible” the Tom Cruise action thriller from 1996. This was the first of six MI movies, with filming on a seventh installment shut down due to escalating Coronavirus concerns. The stunts Tom does in this are amazing still in 2020.

On Sunday, May 24th, not only is it Memorial Day Weekend, but you get the chance to kick back and enjoy one of the biggest movies of all time!
