When it comes down to the best burgers in the state of Maine, lots of factors go into choosing the best of the best, which sounds like a pretty great job, huh?
Their pick? The Harbor Burger Shack, in Kittery.
This old school, retro burger spot serves fresh smashburgers, delicious fries, and creative shakes. It is the perfect spot to visit while shopping at the outlet stores that are nearby.
The concept of Harbgor Burger Shack, is inspired by the classic roadside diners of the 1950s, who offered simple food like hamburgers, hot dogs, shakes, and fries, but they do it with with premium ingredients and have brought it into the modern day.
The 4,500-square-foot space boasts a 90-seat restaurant and a charming country store, with vintage advertising posters, original neon signs, and classic Americana decor, immersing guests in a nostalgic atmosphere.
It's owned and operated by First Serve Hospitality Group, the same group behind other Kittery and Kennebunkport landmark restaurants, like Mabel's Lobster Claw and Bob's Clam Hut.
When your travels take you that way this summer, you can find them at 355 US Route 1, in Kittery, where they are open daily, from 11am-8pm.
