Year '15' is here! Get ready for a scary good time in Bucksport!

This is such an exciting time of year. Fall truly is the best, because there are so many Halloween-themed events that take place all across the state of Maine, and there is no place that makes you think of all things spooky, like the town of Bucksport!

Bucksport is home to the Cursed Tomb of Colonel Buck. The "tomb" features a mysterious stain, which is an image of a woman's stocking-clad foot, or maybe a boot. The leg stain on the memorial, came about when Colonel Buck burned a witch and her leg rolled out of the bonfire.

In that spirit, one of Maine's greatest spooktacular days is almost here! Be sure to mark your calendar for Bucksport's 15th Annual Ghostport, on Saturday, October 18th, from 10am-10pm.

Ghostport offers a full day of Halloween and fall-themed fun along the waterfront walkway!

Ghostport takes place in Downtown Bucksport and includes a Paranormal Parade, Trunk-Or-Treat, food & craft vendors, a Halloween dance, ghost stories, and a ton of games and activities for kids of all ages.

  • Lil Goblins parade
  • Brunch with the witches
  • Chuck a pumpkin into the Penobscot
  • Carved pumpkin contest
  • Chili cook-off
  • Activities for kids in town and on the waterfront
  • Two Trunk or Treats (afternoon and evening)
  • Roaming magician
  • Family friendly dance
  • Spooky trivia
  • A special screening of the "Rocky Horror Picture" show at the Alamo

    Admission is FREE but extra fee for activities like film screenings and brunch.

    Enjoy "Trick-or-Trivia" at My Buddy's Place, at 84 Main Street. Starting at 7pm, test your knowledge of all things eerie and mysterious. from haunted history to creepy creatures,
    this is the he chance to test your Halloween knowledge

  • Check out two "Trunk-or Treats" from 2:30pm-4:30pm, then again from 6:30pm-8:30pm. at the town Dock, on Main Street in Bucksport.

    Spirited vendors will be lined up all along the Bucksport Waterfront Walkway, and on Main Street. There will be food vendors on hand as well.
