Fox 22 WFVX Bangor has reported of a Brewer youth taking entrepreneurship to a charitable and heartfelt direction.

Althea Nash took some time yesterday to make and sell lemonade at her lemonade stand in Brewer.  Not only is she learning the ins-and-outs of the business of a lemonade booth but she is also using the funds collected to donate to a friend of hers with Stage 3 cancer.

Althea is quoted of saying of her friend, "She’s a very nice person, and she’s already lost pretty much all of her hair. And I feel very bad."

Yesterday, Althea sold an incredible 100 cups of the sweet and sour beverage.  That's pretty good but, I've got a feeling with a few hotter days to come she could sell even more.

If you want to help in Althea's cause and buy a cup of lemonade from her, bring a couple of dollars and head over to Holyoke Street in Brewer, off of North Main Street.  She'll be tending her stand from 11 AM - 3 PM.

If you are itching to raise money with a lemonade stand, check out Alexslemonade.org.  This website is dedicated to raising money for childhood cancer and is particularly focused on doing so with a lemonade stand.

The website features a list of items you'll need for your lemonade stand and Alex's Lemonade will send you items to help you with your fundraising efforts including thank you cards for those purchasing cups of lemonade and information about childhood cancer that you can at your lemonade stand.
