This October, you can explore the history of Bangor and get a good scare at the same time!

Now that fall is almost officially upon us, it's time to look forward to the spookiest day of the year, Halloween. There so many things to do this season, here in the Bangor area, but the question is, do you dare to attend this event?

The Bangor Historical Society’s "Ghostly Bangor Walking Tour" features tales veiled in unsolved mysteries, murder and the past residents who may still linger in the Queen City. The tours take place through the streets of Downtown Bangor and last around 90 minutes.

The walking tours depart from the Bangor Historical Society’s Thomas A. Hill House, located at 159 Union Street, Bangor. at 7 p.m.

All of the walking tours will be capped at 25 guests and tickets are $12, and will sell quickly, but there are plenty of chances to enjoy one of these events.

All tickets must be purchased by noon of the date of the tour.

In case of inclement weather, tours will be cancelled if there is a chance of thunderstorms, but will continue if the forecast calls for rain.
