Bangor & Tremont Students Dominate Maine Science Festival Film Contest Awards
The Maine Science Festival, like just about everything else this year, was canceled this spring due to the novel coronavirus.
Nevertheless, the Festival went forward with a their student film contest for this year's Science Festival. Two categories of the contest included the middle school film contest which requires students to create a movie trailer for a faux science film while the high school category required the creation of a short film that included science.
The festival gave cash prizes to 1st ($500), 2nd ($300) and 3rd ($100) place for each category. Maine Science Festival set up a playlist of all the winning films on the MSF YouTube channel.
