The country is taking notice of the efforts of one Bangor teen!

U.S. Cellular has started a program called "The Future of Good" which spotlights teens from all over the United States who are doing great things in their communities, and one Bangor teenager has been honored.

Bangor High student Tommy Hosmer is the founder of Team Mimi. He has organized an annual softball tournament in Bangor that has raised more than $40,000 for the fight to cure cancer.

Hosmer started Team Mimi, to honor his grandmother Linda, who passed away when Tommy was just 9 years old.
