Not to worry, it won't last too long!

Taking a brief hiatus, a local favorite will close their doors, starting on Saturday, January 25th.

If you happen to drive by Chase's Family Restaurant and Hide-Away Lounge in Bangor over the next couple of weeks, you may wonder why the parking lot is empty, well you need not wonder anymore.

As a rule, January is the slowest month in the service biz. Lots of people do a “Dry January” and don’t indulge in such activities, especially after spending an entire holiday season drinking, eating and just being merry in general.

Knowing that business usually comes to a standstill this time of year, Chase's, located at 1575 Hammond Street in Bangor, will shut things from January 25th-February 3rd, but they will crank things up again, when they make their much anticipated return on Tuesday, February 4th.

They are taking the time off to repair and upgrade their dishwashing and prep areas. It will be a large project as they will be completely replacing a large part of the floor and installing a new dish machine.

The temporary closure is also simply a chance to give everyone a bit of a break, and come back bigger and better for the new year.

This of course means that when they return, you will continue to get delicious seafood, burgers, and other great dishes, along with their large menu of breakfast, lunch and dinner specials.

Plus, great apps, soups, salds and more, that are bound to satisfy your appetite.
