4th Annual Gingerbread House Contest in Bar Harbor

The Bar Harbor Historical Society invites you to take part in their 4th Annual Gingerbread House Contest on Saturday, December 7th. You can either make a gingerbread house or vote for the People's Choice Award!

This year the first place winner will receive a $300 cash prize. There will also be a $100 cash prize for the best entry done by a child under the age of 12 and the People's Choice winner will receive $100 cash.

The public showing of the entries, and judging by the public takes place, Saturday, December 7th from 10 AM to 1 PM.

The contest is open to all, professional and amateurs. Groups may submit an entry they constructed together. Adults may supervise participants in the under 12 age division.

Entries cannot exceed 1.5 feet in height, 1.5 feet in wide, or 1.5 feet in depth, including the foundation board. Entries must be constructed entirely of edible materials. There is no charge for admission or to enter.

Submissions must be dropped off at the Historical Society Museum at La Rochelle, 127 West Street in Bar Harbor on Friday, December 6th, between 11AM. and 3PM. unless other arrangements are made.

Entries must be picked up between 1:30 -2:30PM on Saturday, December 7th after the conclusion of the contest.
