Need a summer rain day activity? Bowling is a great option! Bangor-Brewer Bowling Lanes in Brewer offers candlepin bowling meaning smaller balls which a great for smaller children. Family Fun Bowling Center, and the Sports Arena in Bangor have regular sized bowling balls but they do offer bumpers to fill the gutters and even ramps to assist with the rolling for beginners. Old Town Bowling Center is also an option if you are closer to that area.

DR Disc Golf in Orrington and Rock Solid Disc Golf in Holden have trails through the forest leading to the baskets (like holes in golf). There is a lot to learn at first, but it is very easy to understand.
