September 20th - September 26th: See how Taylor SwiftP!nk, Ciara, Black Eyed Peas, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Good CharlotteAerosmith and Soulja Boy marked this week in history for pop music from the past 30 years.

1991 - Red Hot Chili Peppers

The Red Hot Chili Peppers released Blood Sugar Sex Magik in the US this week in pop music history.  The hits from this album would help define a generation which included the songs "Under the Bridge" and "Give It Away".  The album goes on to sell 10 million albums worldwide.

1998 - Aerosmith

The unlikely Boston rockers are #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 with 'Can't Miss A Thing' from the soundtrack of the blockbuster end-of-times movie Armageddon, starring Bruce Willis, Ben Affleck and daughter of Aerosmith singer Steven Tyler, Liv Tyler.

2000 - Good Charlotte

This week in pop music history the pop-punk band Good Charlotte release their self-titled debut album which includes their songs "Festival" and "Little Things".

 

2004 - Ciara

Ciara is #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 with 'Goodies' featuring Petey Pablo.  The song is Ciara's first debut single off her first studio album.

2009 - Black Eyed Peas

The quartet is #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 with the club hit 'I Gotta Feeling'.  The song is the second single release of their album The E.N.D. and was produced by DJ and mega-producer David Guetta.

2012 - P!nk

This week in pop music history, Pink's sixth studio album scores her first #1 album in the United States with The Truth About Love. The album was released the prior week and also received a Grammy nomination.

2017 - Taylor Swift

T Swizzle is #1 this week on the Billboard Hot 100 with 'Look What You Made Me Do'.  The song is #1 for three weeks and actually earned a streaming record of the most plays in a single day on Spotify.
