November 4th - November 10th: See how Kid Rock, Kanye West, Adele, Michael Jackson, Eminem, Meghan Trainor, and Owl City marked this week in history for pop music from the past 30 years.
1991 - Michael Jackson
The King of Pop's music video for "Black or White" debuts. Let the excessive crotch grabbing and ridiculous amount of violence commence! Also, note the cameos from former child star McCauley Caulkin, Norm from Cheers, Tyra Banks and the Simpsons.
1999 - Kid Rock
Well before Kid was rocking it out in Bangor, he topped the Billboard Music Awards in 1999.

2002 - Eminem
Another Michigan rapper, Marshall Mathers is #1 on the Billboard Top 100 with "Lose Yourself".
2005 - Kanye West
Yeezy is #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 with 'Gold Digger'. The song and video features the song stylings of actor and singer, Jaime Foxx. John Legend also makes a cameo in the video.
2009 - Owl City
A one hit wonder graces the top of the Billboard Hot 100: Owl City is #1 with the sickly sweet "Fireflies".
2011 - Adele
The pop charts are relieved to have the great vocal talent of British singer Adele top the Billboard Hot 100 with "Someone Like You".
2014 - Meghan Trainor
Pop singer Meghan Trainor celebrates junk in the trunk with her ear worm song "All About That Bass".
