Over the last several years, the Elf on the Shelf phenomenon has become is a Christmas tradition, where a special elf is sent to your home from the North Pole to encourage the kids to behave, because they watch the children by day, and every night, it then returns to report to Santa Claus on whether they were naughty or nice.
