A woman who was rescued from a burning car last week in Dover-Foxcroft has died of her injuries.

Jacqueline Brammer, 65, was pulled from her vehicle by two members of the Dover-Foxcroft Police Department after her vehicle went off the road and down a 25-foot embankment. The car was stuck between two trees and on fire when the police arrived.

One man used several fire extinguishers to keep the fire contained to the engine compartment while the other pulled Brammer out the passenger-side door.

WABI-TV reports she passed away today at the hospital, where she's been since the accident.
