What’s Going On Here? A Moment Of Comic Relief, Courtesy Of Cori
Have you ever had one of those mornings where you're already behind the eightball before you even open your eyes?
Now, let me start by saying I realize that in the grand scheme of things, there are far worse problems being suffered in this world than what a lot of us are subjected to. You'll get no argument from me on that one.
What I also know is that regardless of the severity of one's problems, the "suck" of life is better embraced when you can chuckle at it.
Take, for instance, this situation that popped up in my social media feed from 4 years ago.
I'll set the stage for you: this was one of those mornings where everyone in the house overslept (myself and the kids), no one could find their bookbag, homework, socks. You name it...not a single thing was going the way it was supposed to.
Without having time to even change, I had to run the kids to school in my PJs. And to add to the ridiculous "circus-like" nature of the morning, this toy in my car just randomly decided to go off.
I have found that in situations like this, the only productive thing you can do is to laugh. At least maybe you burn some calories?
Sure, you could get upset or angry about life, when it's behaving like a runaway snowball careening down a mountainside. Or, you could take a step back, see just how ridiculous the situation is, shake your head, and chuckle.
Good luck out there. May you at least get a chance to laugh at yourself today.
