Two men have been charged with heroin trafficking after a hit-and-run accident in Brewer.

Justin Grover and Tylor Harriman, both 29 of Bangor, face charges including aggravated trafficking in heroin and possession of cocaine, according to a Friday news release from the Brewer Police Department.

Police say Grover was operating a motor vehicle involved in a hit-and-run accident on June 17 in Brewer. Grover was located, arrested and charged with operating after habitual offender revocation, violation of conditional release, and failure to report accident by quickest means. Harriman, a passenger in the vehicle, was arrested on a warrant for probation revocation.

As a result of observations made by officers at the scene, the vehicle was impounded and a search warrant was obtained. A significant amount of cash, an estimated 28 grams of heroin, and other items were seized, according to police.

As a result of that search warrant, Grover and Harriman were each charged with aggravated trafficking in heroin, possession of cocaine, and illegal possession of hypodermic apparatuses. Additionally, Harriman was charged with violation of conditional release.
