A tractor-trailer rollover that happened before dawn on Monday will reduce traffic to one lane on I-95.

Maine State Police say the accident happened at approximately 3:32 a.m. in the northbound lane of I-95 in Carmel. Donald LeBlanc, 61, and his passenger, Peter Nickerson, 31, both of Nova Scotia were transported to Eastern Maine Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries. Police say LeBlanc fell asleep, causing his rig to leave the roadway and hit the ledge, before coming to rest on its side in the ditch.

Both lanes of northbound travel on I-95 in Carmel will be open to traffic until 8 a.m. At that point, the Maine Department of Transportation will set a lane closure in the passing lane for recovery and environmental clean-up. It's expected the lane will remain closed until mid-afternoon. Maine State Troopers will aid in the clean-up and keeping traffic flowing through the area, at a reduced rate of speed.

We'll update this story when more details become available.
