This Uncomfortable-Looking Belfast Holiday Icon Is Now In Ornament Form

There's a strange Christmas season icon in a local Maine town that goes by an odd name, has a wholesome small-town history, and can now take part in your family's holiday traditions.

Downtown Belfast has a tradition of seasonal decorating in the village that brings festive spirits to all of the residents and visitors of Belfast. One iconic piece of Belfast holiday imagery is a decoration strung in the downtown since the 1980s. It is a jolly Santa with an extreme head tilt named 'Cletus'. Throughout the years, the enduring name for this Santa became Broke-Neck Santa, a name that made makes this a bit of a strange small-town Maine icon but, memorable!
