What happens when you combine three really cool things? You get a great Saturday adventure.

Celebrating 150 years of railroading, the Belfast and Moosehead Lake Railroad offers some fun weekend trips from their location in Unity. Just about every weekend from Memorial Day until October, they host fun events, and if you haven’t had the pleasure of a good train ride, this is right up your alley. It really is a treat to experience this. They are making an exception to their normal operating procedures, by hosting a fun spring event that the whole family can enjoy!

Coming up on Saturday, April 9th from 1:30 pm-2:30 pm, then again, on Saturday, April 23rd, from 1:30 pm-2:30 pm, you can grab the kids and take a hot chocolate and cookie train ride, on the Belfast & Moosehead Lake Railroad.

Enjoy Maine's beautiful scenery while relaxing in their heated coaches, and enjoy some delicious snacks too!

Tickets are $21 for adults, $11 for children, and admission is free for infants. You will have two chances to enjoy the fun, so get your tickets today.

While you are there, you can enjoy the day with ice cream at Conez, which is right where you board the train, or lunch at the fantastic Mammie’s Restaurant, which is directly across the road from the station.

The Belfast & Moosehead Railroad does ask that folks follow current CDC guidelines. All trains depart from Unity Station, in Unity, located at 212 Depot Street.
