Food, games, crafts, animals, and a whole day of family fun are headed to Bangor.

Sprague's Nursery & Garden Center is hosting its annual Fall Family Festival on Saturday, September 16th, starting at 9 a.m.

The theme this year is animals, so come dressed up as your favorite animal, or wear your favorite animal shirt and accessories, and the kiddos will receive a butterfly snack bag.

At 9 a.m., you can join Bangor author, Pam Dixon Oertel, as she reads from her picture book, "Lucy Leaf." The book will be on sale during the Fall Family Festival, for a special price of $15.

From 10 a.m. to noon, you can enjoy the amazing Mr. Drew and His animals Too, from Lewiston. He will be there with his exotic animals. This will be an interactive session, that you do not want to miss!

From 12:30 to 1:30 p.m., the amazing juggling entertainer Zachary Field will entertain the kids.

There are a ton of activities, including:

  • 4 different craft tables for the kids, plus other tables for fun 7 games, with a chance to win prizes
  • A snow cone machine
  • Floor tic tac toe & other games
  • A Photo prop area to use your camera
  • Door prizes for the adults, and kids can guess the weight of a pumpkin to also win prizes.

My personal favorite, the mouth-watering JJ's Jerk Shack Food Truck, will be on hand all day, serving up their incredible Jamaican specialties.

And, that day parents can celebrate with event specials for one day only, on fall plants & decorating needs.

Kick off fall with a fun-filled day in Bangor, at the Fall Family Festival.
