Hey kids, tricks and treats are coming to Bangor, later this month!

Take the kids and enjoy an afternoon of safe trick-or-treating!

Halloween is one of the best times of the year, because there are so many fun events that the whole family can enjoy.

Maine Trunk-or-Treaters, there are lots of events coming up in the next few months, that you need to check out.

The Anah Shrine of Bangor, located at 1404 Broadway in Bangor, will host a "Trunk-or Treat" party, on Sunday, October 27th, from 1pm-4pm. It is free to the public.

In the event that it rains on Sunday, October 27th, the Anah Shrine will hold the vent indoors.

Over the last several years, Trunk or Treat, has become a wildly popular local event.

What is a "Trunk-or Treat"

Participants park their vehicles in a designated area, often in a large parking lot, where trunk owners decorate their vehicles, with Halloween decorations.

Kids, accompanied by parents or guardians, walk from car to car, trick-or-treating at each vehicle.

These events are usually held at local churches, community centers, schools, parks and recreation departments, shopping malls, or Downtown business districts, and include games, food & beverages, costume contest and more.

Trunk or Treat events are held in well-lit, controlled environments, which eases a parents concern about traditional neighborhood door-to door trick or treating.

The Bangor Anah Shrine will also be hosting the The 13th Annual “Feztival“ of Trees, from November 16th-November 26th!

Here is what you can expect during the "Feztival of Trees"

  • Beautifully Decorated Trees: Local organizations and businesses sponsor trees that are decorated in different themes, with presents and gift cards adorning the branches
  • Gingerbread Bakery: Satisfy your sweet tooth with yummy goodies available for purchase. Plus, lunches and refreshments
  • Raffle Tickets: Purchase tickets and put your contact info on them. Then, drop them in the boxes for the trees you'd like to win
