The 2nd Annual BBQ Cook Off In Skowhegan Is Coming Next Month

Get ready to grill & chill for one big weekend!

One of the best parts of summertime is getting outdoors and enjoying incredible barbecue, a big party is coming back to Maine for a second year.

International BBQ is coming back to Skowhegan, for the 2nd Annual BBQ Cook Off, at the Skowhegan State Fairgrounds, 33 Construction Avenue, for two days of delicious food & fun, Friday, June 24th, and Saturday, June 25th.

Judges will be coming to Maine, from all over the world. Trophies, ribbons, and huge cash prizes will be awarded to all the winners.

Not only can you enjoy BBQ, but there will be food trucks, a fire, vendors, live music, and fun activities for the whole family!

There will be prizes handed out in several different categories:

Steak Cookoff
First Responder’s Challenge
One Meat Challenge: Ribs
Desserts
Kid’s Competition

Here are some of the highlights of this 2-day event:

Friday:
2:00pm - Competitors arrive and set up
6:00pm - 10:00pm. Munchies, live music and a bon fire.

Saturday:
12:00pm The beverage garden opens
1:00pm – 5:00pm People’s Choice judging
5:00pm - 9:00pm VIP Event
9:00pm - 11:00pm Beverage Garden open with music

Water and electricity will be provided. Campsites can be reserved for an additional fee. These sites will have 30amp hook ups and water.

Well behaved pets are welcomed. They must be up to date on shots (current rabies certificate) and must be registered.
