Z-107.3 listeners got game!

The world famous "Harlem Globetrotters" usually come to visit us in Bangor each March, but since we haven't hit the end of the road with Covid yet, the Cross Insurance Center stays empty for events for the time being. With that being said, it's a Throwback Thursday, so why not take a look back at a cool contest from a few years ago.

We asked Z-107.3 listeners to submit their best "Trick Shots" for a chance to see the Globetrotters and have a meet & greet, and we got some pretty incredible entries. Here they are below, with the original descriptions of the various shots. Hopefully next year at this time, we can do this contest all over again!

Between the Legs Layup
Submitted by Scott Matteson of Old Town

"The Move" has been entertaining onlookers since middle school. While Dr. J. and Koby make a between the leg layup look epic. I'm a short chubby white guy with little ups and fans of this shot usually find it hysterical. Enjoy.

Two-For-One Shot

Cheerleader's Got Game

My 8-year-old daughter loves to cheer, but her second favorite sport is basketball (unless it's soccer season). Here she is with her bow in her hair after cheer practice shooting some hoops in the back yard.
