Actor Michael Vale was best known as Fred the Baker, the tired guy who had to get up before the sun and go make the fresh delicious donuts for Dunkin' Donuts.

Fred the Baker was on our televisions for 15 years until he retired in 1997. He briefly came out of retirement for the short lived Dunkin' Donuts Cereal.

Michael Vale passed away from diabetes in December of 2005. He was 83.
