Take A Trip To Central Maine & Check Out This Winter Wonderland

While there seems to be no shortage of amazing spots to check out holiday light shows across the state this year, there's one in the Central Maine area you may not have heard of yet, but you'll definitely want to visit soon.

Winter Wonderland at Augusta West, according to their Facebook page, is "a place for friends and family to walk or drive around hundreds of thousands of Christmas lights."

This is the second year organizers have put together the event.

"Bring in the holidays with over 200,000 lights and displays for a magical event for the whole family.

"Enjoy walking around 10 acres of dazzling lights or a holiday experience for the whole family!

"Grab a hot cocoa and make memories that last a lifetime."

Located at 183 Holmes Brook Lane in Winthrop, there are two different ways you can check out the Winter Wonderland at Augusta West display; you can drive or you can walk.

But you'll need to make a reservation before you go.

Their drive-thru option takes place on Sundays and Wednesdays, while families can walk through the displays Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights.

Liz Leavitt and her family checked out the displays recently and said they'd definitely be going back.

"We drove. It's not super long when you drive, maybe 15 minutes or so. There is a radio station you can tune into to listen to Christmas music."
