Spaghetti Dinner, Silent Auction Fundraiser For McCrum Workers
It was devastating to hear about the terrible fire at the Belfast McCrum factory, a local business that provides hundreds of jobs for coastal Maine.
One of the many ways people are trying to help out those affected by the fire is an upcoming effort to feed you for donations.

The Guardians for Belfast are hosting the 'Dinner for McCrum', which will be a spaghetti dinner that will serve by donation. The event will be held at the Belfast Area High School Friday, April 15th. Everything will kick-off at 5 PM and wrap up by 7:30 PM.
The fundraiser to help out those who lost their place of employment and will also include a silent auction part of the fundraiser, as well.
The event is being put on by the Steel Guardians Motorcycle Club and has information about the fundraiser on their Facebook event page.
The McCrum Fire in Belfast
The McCrum facility of Belfast, which lies close to the Penobscot River, was set ablaze in the early morning hours of Thursday, March 24th. It has been determined that nobody was harmed during the fire and that a large fryolator is to blame for the blaze, along with conveyor belts within the factory.
Employees of McCrum
This McCrum facility employs 138. The facility is pretty much gone at this point, which leaves over a hundred employees without a job. How employees can pay the bills right now must not be easy so various fundraisers have been coordinated to help out the workers of this facility. The Maine Department of Labor has swept in to get workers on unemployment for the time being.
