The Kennebec County Sheriff's Office has issued a Silver Alert for a missing 71-year-old man from Vienna with cognitive issues.

UPDATE: Maine Department of Public Safety spokesperson Shannon Moss says Mr. Holmes has been found safe. 

Who is Missing?

Maine Department of Public Safety spokesperson Shannon Moss says Michael Holmes of Vienna was last seen on foot, as he left his Tower Road home on Thursday, October 6th. Officials say Holmes was intending on traveling to Winthrop but he never reached his destination and his family has not seen him since. Mr. Holmes suffers from cognitive issues and so family members are concerned.

What Does He Look Like?

Michael Holmes is described as a white male, 6 feet tall, and about 225 pounds. He has brown hair and blue eyes. Holmes does not have his cell phone on him and no one can say what he was wearing when he disappeared.

Anyone who thinks they may have seen Mr. Holmes or have any information about his whereabouts is encouraged to call 911 or the Kennebec County Sheriff's Office at 207-624-7076.
