Ho, ho, ho! Did you know you can send your letter to the North Pole?

The Orrington Fire Department is bringing the magic of Christmas to area kids this holiday season, with a very cool way to connect with the one and only Santa Claus himself.

Last year, the seemingly never-ending COVID-19 pandemic made so many yearly events and traditions nearly impossible to enjoy, so Lt. Chris Strout and the Orrington Fire Department decided to get creative, and came up with the great idea to put a mailbox outdoors at the Public Safety building, where the little ones can send a letter to the North Pole, to give Mr. & Mrs. Claus their Christmas wish list of presents.

By the way, you don’t have even to be an Orrington area kid to participate either. All you have to do is just make sure that you put your return address on the letter, and it will get to the big fella.

Keep in mind that you need to get those letters in by 6 PM, on Friday, December 10, and even more good news, it turns out that Santa Claus can drive more than his sleigh, he will also be taking a spin in the Orrington Fire Department's fire truck to visit the kiddos on Friday, December 11, and Saturday, December 12th! If you want to be sure that he pays your neighborhood a visit, give a call to 825-3530, to make sure that you don’t miss out.

Merry Christmas to everyone!
