Can you imagine going to a wedding and then finding out that it was the cause of 85 cases of coronavirus in your state? This is exactly what WMTW says happened in Maine, where a single wedding in Millinocket has had a ricochet effect across the state. The news station is reporting 85 people from all over Maine have COVID-19 as a result of this wedding, one of whom has died. The article also says the virus has spread as far as Madison in Somerset County and York County.

According to WMTW:

Thirty-two of those cases are primary or people who attended the wedding, 32 are secondary or people who had close contact with those who attended, and 20 are classified as tertiary cases or people who had close contact with a secondary case.

The wedding and reception took place at the Big Moose Inn in Millinocket, and witnesses say not many of the guests wore masks or followed social distancing protocol.
