Facebook Marketplace really is just where the good stuff is.

I think one of the things I legit like about Facebook Marketplace is that you can find the weirdest stuff, locally. You don't have to go any farther than you want for what you're looking for. Generally no shipping or anything silly like that, just set up a time, take a drive and buy what you need.

Sometimes those things are really ordinary. Other times you find yourself driving an hour to purchase the most outrageous thing you can think of. I had a friend that drive two hours to buy an entire alphabet worth of letters that were 4 feet tall. Why? To this day I'm not really sure. But whatever. But what about a Racing Coffin?

For real.. A coffin you could race. Yes, you read it right.

Right now on Facebook Marketplace, you can contact a gentleman in Orrington who's looking to retire/unload his racing coffin. It was originally built to take part in Ghostport in Bucksport, but now it needs it's forever-after home. It's final resting place, if you will.

It comes with stainless steel push bars, lights, and a windshield. I assume that's to protect you from bugs while you're flying down the road at the speed of the undead. It even has a skull with horns. I suppose you could even fashion skis onto it in winter, then you could do some end-of-life bobsledding. The possibilities are endless.

It's only listed for $300 after being reduced from $500, so this de facto hearse is ready to take you on a special ride. Think of the fun you'll get out of this at Halloween. Give it a little TLC and fix it up to match your personality. Act fast though. If you don't buy this thing, my wife won't be super pleased to find that I brought it home. Just sayin'.

Let's see if there's any scary tattoos to go along with our coffin racer...
