PSA: Bangor Panhandling SCAM!!

According to the Bangor Area Homeless Shelter's Facebook, they are warning the public about a panhandling scam.  They want you to know this is NOT how they conduct business and not to give money to panhandlers.  There's other ways you can help.

Here's their PSA:

the Bangor Shelter has received word that someone was spotted in the downtown area with a sign that said they were raising money for the shelter. We NEVER use this as a fundraising method and the person is scamming the public. Please don't give money to panhandlers; instead send them to us so we can help them out. (We probably already know them) 😉
