Police: Presque Isle Father Killed Baby Boy, Himself [UPDATE]

Police say a Presque Isle man shot and killed his 14-month-old son before killing himself Sunday.

Matthew Leavitt, 35, shot and killed 14-month-old Quinten Leavitt before killing himself, according to a Monday night news release from the Maine Department of Public Safety.

The State Medical Examiner's Office, which conducted autopsies today, said both died from a single gunshot wound.  State Police finished their evidence gathering today at Leavitt's home on Reach Road.
