Whether it is thin crust, Chicago-style, deep dish, or anything in between, pizza is an American favorite.

America's favorite pizza has been revealed, state-by-state.

Here in the 207, we are pretty spoiled when it comes to food, and pizza is no exception. Every town has a "go to" pizza joint that people love to frequent.

Personally, I find it hard to go more than one week without having a Pat's Pizza. It's just so good!

Talker Research conducted a survey of 5,000 people, in all 50 states in America, on what they like on their pizza

The results are split right down the middle, with the exception of our neighbors in Massachusetts, which was the only state to name a veggie pie as their favorite.

What about Maine? We love us some meat.

The Pine Tree State joined Arizona, Idaho, Illinois, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, North Carolina, Oregon, Utah, Washington, West Virginia, Wisconsin and Wyoming, choosing a Meat Lovers Pizza as the best.

Pepperoni, hamburger, bacon and sausage, and ham, are all toppings craved by Mainers.

The iconic pepperoni pizza was favored by our friends in New Hampshire, and Vermont.

In case you wondering, the most disliked toppings were anchovies, pineapple, jalapenos, eggplant, artichokes, and broccoli.

Dave Portnoy, known for his "One Bite" pizza reviews, has been to Maine many times, and fancies himself as an expert, using a scale of 0 to 10 to rate pizzas.

One of the best ways to find Maine's best pies, is Yelp, where people are constantly posting reviews of their dining experiences.
