Don't you love it when you find something cool in our state that you didn't know existed?

I was recently watching one of my favorite movies "Back To The Future" and was thinking about Lou's Diner. It was the diner in Hill Valley.

In 1955, when Marty McFly paid a visit, the hamburgers were 25¢, ham and cheese sandwiches were 30¢, and a chocolate sundae was 15¢.

The cafe also served hot and cold drinks like coffee, milk, and Pepsi (No Tab soda, sorry Marty)

It also had a Wurlitzer 1015 jukebox, filled with popular songs such as "The Ballad of Davey Crockett". It also had a payphone booth, with local calls costing 5¢.

There is a diner located at 623 US Route 1, in Scarborough, called "Blast From The Past Diner Too", that brings back that old feeling of simpler times, It has the look and very authentic feel of a legit 1950's style diner.

When you visit their website they perfectly break down what they are all about:

Our goal is to offer every customer that walks through the door a great dining experience while visiting our Fifties Style Diner Restaurant. There is a juke box for all your favorite music from the 1950's and 1960's. We have fifties memorabilia on display throughout the diner for your viewing and pleasure.

If you are looking for a local Breakfast Restaurant, Blast From The Past Too serves breakfast daily until 1:00 p.m. The all American great tasting breakfast from bacon and eggs to Crepes and Pancakes all made fresh to order.

We serve a variety of food but if you are looking for tasty Maine Lobster you found the restaurant for lobster rolls, fresh lazy man lobster along with other seafood plates of haddock or shrimp.

Sounds delightful doesn't it? Should you choose to take a road trip to check it out for yourself, these are their business hours:

Monday & Tuesday 7:30am-8pm
Wednesday CLOSED
Thursday - Saturday 7:30am-8pm
Sunday 7:30am-3pm

Since we don't have Nicky's Crusin' Diner in Bangor anymore, this is a great road trip idea. So grab your best guy or gal, hop in the Studebaker, and take the drive to Scarborough, and of course when you get there, you have to sit at the counter!

Check out their Instagram page to get a look at all the delicious food!
