Paddy Murphy’s In Bangor Temporarily Closed Due To COVID
One of Bangor's favorite watering holes has its doors closed for the immediate future, but not to worry, they will be back soon.
Let's face it, the last 18 months have been a real drag. The fact that it has gone on this long is remarkable. Wouldn't we all like to have the last year and a half back? I know I would.
With all of the problems this pandemic has caused, it has been especially hard on local businesses. These days, just finding staff can be a huge dilemma. As we reported yesterday, Dysart's on Broadway in Bangor will be closing on Mondays and Tuesdays for the time being. That in itself is a problem, but when you throw COVID-19 into the mix, it really makes things worse.
The iconic, legendary Paddy Murphy's, one of the staples of Downtown Bangor, has temporarily shut its doors because of a positive COVID-19 test. They are not the first and they certainly won't be the last, the pesky Delta variant has wreaked havoc in the Bangor area, shutting the doors of several establishments over the last several weeks.
The good news is that all Paddy's staff members have been wearing masks for 30 plus days, per Maine CDC recommendations, and staff members are being tested, and thus far, all have come back negative, but for the next few days, the iconic Downtown hot spot will be closed, but rest assured, they will be back. Until then, they ask that you "wash your hands, wear a mask, and get vaccinated if you aren't already." We agree!
